The Medemblik Regatta (MR) happily made an announcement that the Hansa Class will now be incorporated in the Regatta. The sport sailing might not be incorporated in the Paralympic Games anymore. This, World Sailing has said in order to continue its support to sailors as well as to promote and grow Para World Sailing worldwide.

By including the Hansa Class, the Medemblik Regatta will continue their support and promotion of Para Sailing.

The regatta, Medemblik has always been the most popular and biggest event all over in the Cyclades for Paralympic and Olympic classes. In the year 2016, the championship of the Para World took place in Medemblik at the time of Medemblik Regatta.
